With Taberu, chef Heidi Skye Hamamura brings together her fine dining experience, background in the visual arts, and formidable sushi technique (learned at the knee of her father, chef Naomi “Hama-san” Hamamura, one of St. Louis’ OG sushi masters) under the umbrella of a catering and private event venture.

Chef Heidi and her team can be discovered at exclusive ticketed collaboration pop-up dinners across the city, as well as at special events like the Japanese Festival at Missouri Botanical Gardens (every Labor Day weekend) Anime STL at the Saint Charles Convention Center and the Red Lantern City Night Market in CWE (every third Saturday in July) founded by Chef Heidi in 2020.


Chef Heidi Skye also crafts exquisite sushi trays and ensures their prompt delivery to your doorstep by her exceptional team!

  • Sushi Tray Delivery
    (min: 2 max: 40)
    • We offer sushi delivery to our customers on Fridays and Saturdays, starting at 5 pm.
    • We exclusively accept pre-orders and typically open bookings for sushi tray deliveries on the 1st of each month (unless otherwise specified) for the following month. Our services are in high demand, often fully booked one to two months in advance.
    • As an omakase company, our clients inform us of their allergies, preferences, and any special requests, allowing us to create custom sushi trays for delivery.
    • LLINOIS residents: Meet our drivers right outside at City Museum for our “sushi meetups.” If you live outside of Saint Louis delivery areas, we also offer meetups in other surrounding areas within reach.
  • Sushi Bar Catering Service
    (only for parties of 25+)
    • With display and/or sushi made to order.
    • Yes, we can set up a sushi bar station at your wedding, bar/bat mitzvah, office party & etc.
  • In-Home Fine Dining 4 or 5 Course Meal

    • All seafood options, all sushi options or a mix of Chef Heidi’s fine dining experience options available.
  • In-Home Sushi Classes
    • BASIC Class:
      (min: 6 max: 10)
      • Includes learning how to make 4 kinds of sushi rolls (maki): California, spicy tuna, salmon avocado & shrimp tempura.
    • MIXED Class:
      (min: 6 max: 10)
      • Includes both maki & nigiri. Your choice on two rolls (pick from above) plus practice on nigiri: tuna, salmon, shrimp & bbq eel. Also comes with sauces and toppings.
    • ADVANCED Class:
      (min:6 max:20)
      • Includes learning how to make nigiri (15 different kinds) with lots of garnishes & sauces. Also, learn how to make a hand roll.

Our basic sushi tray feeds two adults and it’s a mix of nigiri & maki rolls. It’s $155 which includes delivery but not tax & gratuity for the driver. We accept CASH or Zelle payments ONLY.
